  • This doesn't entirely solve the issue, though. The cropped portion doesn't go away, it's only hidden. I need to get rid of it completely so when I submit for publishing the cropped portion doesn't show up on the imported file. Any solutions would be much appreciated!

  • Note that the dialog has an option to apply to only even or odd pages. So you can crop even and odd pages separately, to produce a uniformly optimal layout for your reader. Some reader apps, such as GoodReader on iOS, have such an even/odd crop capability built in, so you don't have to crop the PDF on your desktop computer to be able to use all your screen with such readers.
